Tour Program

On this first day, some people arrive at Bergen Airport while others have already arrived in Bergen and are staying at hotels.

Our bus and tour guide therefore drive from the airport via the hotels in Bergen - before we set course for beautiful Hardanger and Eidfjord.

We drive in one of our first-class tour buses, and can enjoy the fantastic nature on the way to the first stop, which is Voss.
Voss is a beautiful little village surrounded by mountains and waterfalls, which makes the small place world-famous for, among other things, extreme sports.

After a stop in Voss, the journey continues to the Hardangerfjord where we will cross the fjord on the famous Hardanger Bridge.

At the very heart of the fjord we arrive at Eidfjord, where we will have our base for the next few days.

We start our first day of hiking with a bus ride up to Vøringsfossen. Here we will enjoy the fantastic view of the majestic Vøringsfossen.

We walk from the lower parking lot, along the gorge and viewing platforms, over the bridge and up to the top of the waterfall.

After enjoying the view, we begin our first hike into the Hardangervidda plateau.

The Hardangervidda plateau, Northern Europe's largest high mountain plateau, offers a variety of hiking opportunities

Today is the highlight of the trip.

We will experience the Queen's Trail, one of Queen Sonja's favorite hikes in Hardanger. This impressive mountain hike starts in Kinsarvik and takes us through some of the most beautiful landscapes Norway has to offer, before ending in the idyllic village of Ulvik.

The hike follows a good path up the mountain, and you will quickly notice the steep climb that takes you up to 1100 meters in altitude. Along the way, you will be rewarded with fantastic views of fjords, mountains and glaciers, which makes it easy to understand why this is one of Queen Sonja's favorite hikes.

We will pass several beautiful viewpoints where you can take a break and enjoy the nature.

The hike is demanding, with a total length of 15.2 km and an elevation of 916 meters. It is important to be well prepared with hiking boots and poles, as the terrain can be steep and rocky, especially down towards Lofthus.

As we approach Ulvik, you will walk through rows of fruit trees that stand like pearls on a string along the beautiful Sørfjord.

The trip takes approximately 7 hours.

Today we will hike to the stunning Kjeåsen, one of Norway’s most impressive mountain farms.

The hike starts at Sima power plant, located about 6.5 km from the center of Eidfjord. From here we will walk on a path that takes us up a steep mountainside with a total climb of 550 meters.

The trail is only 2 km long, but it offers challenges with steep sections where ropes and ladders are helpful. It is important to be careful, especially when the trail is wet.

The hike takes about 4 hours round trip.

Along the way you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the fjord and the surrounding mountains. When you reach the top, you will discover Kjeåsen, a farm located on a mountain shelf with a fantastic panoramic view.
