Stave Churches
Norway’s stave churches are among the most remarkable remnants of medieval architecture, blending Viking craftsmanship with Christian tradition. Built between the 12th and 14th centuries, these wooden churches are known for their intricate carvings, dragon-head decorations, and towering, multi-layered roofs.
