Tour Program

Meeting point: Strandkaien 17 (next to the Express Boats)
Our bus, driver, and tour guide will be ready approximately 15 minutes before departure.

Within just ten minutes after leaving Bergen, we’re already out of the city and surrounded by beautiful scenery.
A little later, the road follows the idyllic Osterfjord, with Osterøy — Northern Europe’s largest inland island — on the left-hand side.

At the narrowest point of the fjord, you’ll spot the elegant suspension bridge that connects Osterøy to the mainland.

The drive from Bergen offers stunning landscapes, with views of the beautiful Osterfjord and fascinating stories from your guide along the way.

After about an hour, we make a short stop — a chance to stretch your legs and use the restroom. When opening hours allow, the break is arranged at Dale Outlet, a welcoming shop located beside the historic textile factory that has made the village renowned for its quality knitwear.

Tvindefossen is an impressive waterfall, dropping 116 meters in a beautiful display of multiple streams cascading down the cliff.

The waterfall is surrounded by a legend claiming that its water has rejuvenating powers. This legend has made Tvindefossen one of Norway’s most visited natural attractions, welcoming thousands of visitors each year.

(From June 1st to August 31st, we visit Tvindefossen on the return journey.)

Nestled between mountains and fjords lies Njardarheimr, an authentic Viking village where history truly comes to life. Here, you’ll experience how the Vikings lived more than a thousand years ago – through genuine craftsmanship, traditional buildings, weapons, clothing, and everyday life.

Modern-day Vikings welcome you with knowledge and enthusiasm, offering a unique insight into our Nordic heritage. This is not a museum – it’s a living village, where you can smell the tar, hear the blacksmith’s hammer, and maybe even try your hand at archery!

Gudvangen itself is a beautiful and authentic little village at the end of the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord – a place that truly captures the spirit of real Norway. Surrounded by towering mountains and cascading waterfalls, Gudvangen offers a peaceful and charming atmosphere – and it’s here that we’ll enjoy our lunch.

Flåm is a small, scenic village located at the heart of the Aurlandsfjord, a branch of the majestic Sognefjord.

Surrounded by steep mountains and waterfalls, it offers a peaceful atmosphere and some of the most beautiful scenery in the region.

The village is home to the famous Flåm Railway, which winds its way from the fjord up to the mountain station at Myrdal – a remarkable train journey often described as one of the most beautiful in the world.

In Flåm, you’ll have some free time to explore what interests you most – perhaps a visit to the charming Flåm Church or the Railway Museum, or simply a coffee and a sweet treat at a local bakery.

In Flåm, we board the boat that takes us onto the Nærøyfjord – one of Norway’s most beautiful and dramatic fjords.
With steep mountain walls, narrow passages, and impressive landscapes, the fjord offers a quiet and unforgettable way to experience Norway’s nature.

The Nærøyfjord is a branch of the Sognefjord and stretches for about 17 kilometres, with mountains rising to 1,800 metres above sea level.
As part of the UNESCO World Heritage list, this area stands as a remarkable example of Norway’s natural beauty.

Sit back, relax, and take in the unspoiled nature around you.

(From June 1st to August 31st, the fjord cruise starts at 1.30 PM)

After the cruise arrives in Gudvangen, we spend some extra time in the UNESCO area and enjoy fresh coffee and traditional Norwegian pastry at the café right by the pier.

We then continue by bus toward Voss. The 50-minutes scenic drive will bring us from the fjord landscape into a wide valley surrounded by mountains.

Voss is often called the adventure capital of Western Norway and is known for its active lifestyle all year round. In summer, the area is popular for hiking, kayaking, rafting, and paragliding, while in winter it becomes a well-known destination for skiing and other snow activities. We make a short stop in the city center, giving you a moment to take in the surroundings before heading back to Bergen.

During the summer season (from May 1st to August 31st), we instead head to the historic Stalheim Hotel, majestically located with panoramic views over the dramatic Nærøydalen Valley

The hotel has welcomed guests since the 1800s and holds a rich history, including royal visits and serving as a source of artistic inspiration.

Here, we enjoy coffee and freshly made Norwegian waffles while taking in the unbeatable view – a perfect stop that combines cultural heritage, natural beauty, and Western Norwegian hospitality.

We return to Bergen after a full day of adventures, carrying with us memories of a truly Norwegian nature and history experience.
